What We Do

Background of the Rev Philip S Blamo Institute

From 1980 to 2003 Liberia entered into a period of conflict and civil wars. During this time Liberia’s health and educational services were severely disrupted. The conflict also destroyed or damaged close to 60 percent of school buildings, including water and sanitation facilities which are key to keeping children, especially girls, in school.

It is upon this background that Rev Philip S Blamo Institute RPSBI was founded on February 3rd, 2021, By Rev Philip S. Blamo to spiritually and educationally meet the needs of
the Liberian People, especially For those children who are enrolled in primary and secondary school, many are overage.

Many of the current students at The Rev Philip S Blamo Institute RPSBI In Blogbawine Logan Town Bushrode Island Monrovia Liberia are from homes where parents cannot afford to send their kids to school and as the result a scholarship program has been set up by RPSBI to help deserving students meet their educational needs. The RPSBI is accepting sponsorship from Humanitarian organizations and individuals to help sponsor students at the Rev Philip S Blamo Institute.

The Rev Philip S Blamo Institute has enrollment of 267 students, from nursery to senior high school with the total teaching and administrative staff of 38.
